Acorn Yoga is the trading name for yoga teacher Rachel Hammond.
I am committed to protecting any data I collect from you. By using my services, you agree to the use of the data I collect in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
About Collecting Personal Information
I collect the minimum amount of information about you that is required to provide you with a safe and fulfilling experience. This Privacy Policy indicates the type of processes that may result in data being collected about you.
What personal information is collected?
I collect a certain amount of personal data when you attend my classes. This is for the purposes of meeting insurance company criteria as well as for your health and safety at yoga. Health information is also used to tailor sessions to suit your individual needs.
Some of the data that I may ask you for (this list is not exhaustive):
- Name
- Address
- Phone number
- Email Address
- Age
- Bank Account - Sort code and Account number
- Health Information
- Emergency contact ( their information will be treated in line with this privacy policy)
How personal information is used
I use your data to deliver information to you, ensure your ongoing health and safety and action refunds where applicable.
I also use it to help learn how best to serve you and improve my services in future.
Data is stored in online systems I use, and paper storage. Some examples of the systems I am using at the time: Facebook, Gmail, and payment processing systems like PayPal and Stripe.
I do not store credit card information.
Non-personal information- collection and use
This means information that does not identify a specific person. I have the facility to use website analytics, and cookies to help understand how people use my website.
I don’t share your information
I do not disclose any personal information obtained about you directly, or from third-party websites. I may use the information to keep in contact with you and inform you of developments associated with my business. You will be given the opportunity to remove yourself from any mailing list or similar means of communication. If at any time in the future I should wish to disclose information collected, it would only be with your knowledge and consent.
I may from time-to-time provide information of a general nature to third parties — for example, the number of individuals visiting my website or completing a registration form, but I will not use any information that could identify those individuals.
Security and Protection
I use tools and third party companies that are committed to high levels of security encryption.
Disposal
At your request, or after a 7 year period, all hard copies of information retained will be shredded, and all electronic information such as email address, bank details etc, will be permanently deleted.
It’s your data, you retain control
You can let me know that you don’t wish me to use your data and I will honour your request. You can ask me how your data has been used, and I will let you know.
You can ask to be entirely deleted from my system, and I can do that, with the exception that I am required to track income for tax purposes, and retain other information required by my insurers for seven years.
Review
This policy will be frequently reviewed, amended, and redistributed on a regular basis.
